An observation and question?

I'm probably going to get shot down in flames, told to go and post somewhere else or something similar but I just wanted to know if I am the only person who has noticed this.
I have only posted very recently but have lurked on this site for a long time but I am starting to become disheartened at the amount of racist, sexist, ageist and sometimes downright sickening abuse that seems to have infiltrated this forum.
This site used to be full of people who would agree to disagree, have a good old debate over issues but now it seems that if you don't win an argument or don't agree with what someone is saying, then some people think that personal abuse is the way to go.
I am heartened at the way that the mods are dealing with the abuse but it seems to be on the increase daily. Is it just a small group that keep reregistering with the intent on causing trouble or is it just that politeness and tolerance are on the decrease???
As I said just an observation but one I would be interested to see if anyone else has noticed???

People seem to think that because they're behind a computer screen its acceptable to become 'keyboard warriors' and say things they'd never dream of saying in real life.
The only solution is to report any racist/ageist/sexist or any type of abusive posts and Pms to [Removed by Forum Team]
You'll meet ignorant people in all walks of life. Sadly MSE is no different.
The forum abuse team are very quick to act in these cases depending on how busy they are at that time.:hello:0 -
Unfortunately, abuse is rife, the only solution is to report it whenever you see it, not all the threads could possibly be constantly monitored, and its moments like those the abuse team depend on the members, to not only point it out but help make the forum a friendly and helpful community.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

At the top of each board it saysIMPORTANT! This forum isn't moderated.
If you spot a spam, illegal, offensive, racist, libelous post or PM please email [Removed by Forum Team]
The abuse team do rely on us as members to alert them to abusive posts so if you see one report it! Don't assume someone else will:)
