105k was rejected:rolleyes: The agent said maybe the bank will accept 108k, and should I put the offer up to 108k?
Any advices are welcome:T0 -
No.
Don't up your offer.
Stick.
Seriously. If they're that close to accepting - 3k - then let them drop.0 -
Where's the property?
If others in the area are selling at £140k and that includes the £24K you say they have dropped in the last 12 months, there's either something wrong with the property of the area if they are prepared to sell a property for £108k which was previously sold for £164k representng a drop of over 34%
Despite much of the nonsense spouted on here of prices having fallen 50% the facts are:
nationwide - prices fell by 15.9% in 2008
halifax - prices fell by 16.2% in 2008
land registry - prices fell by 12.2% in 12 months to Nov 2008
Even if you happen to live in Northern Ireland where prices have fallen by 34% (according to nationwide), then are you seriously asking if you should spend about 3% more to secure the house of your dreams (It still possibly being about the right money)?
I think the fact you are asking is that you don't really want the property and so should walk away now and stop wasting the time of the seller and their agent."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

Thanks, Premier! I am in Northwest, and the price of property in this area is ok, not so expensive!
I like this property, but I don't want to be controlled by the agent. I am going to talk with them face to face, and show them the mortage agreement in principle.
