Filling fallen out and dentist not available until end of month?

I assume you have told the dentist it is hurting? May sound a silly question but most are usually good at fitting you in if they know you are in pain. My friend who wasn't registered with a dentist went to the local hospital when she had toothache and they have a service there for emergency dentistry.
