car insurance n c d held on two vehicles

My husband rides a motorbike for which he alone is insured with over 9 yrs ncd.
He also has a car which is in his name and my son also is allowed to drive as a named driver on this car he has also earned 10 yrs ncb is this legal ?

    Yes NCD is not a legal thing just a reward for not claiming, you can have NCD on as many cars as you want. It might be fraud if your husband is not the main driver of the other car and your just dong it to help your son

    Bike and car insurance are completely seperate, so yes it's fine.
    They aren't normally interchangeable.

    NCB is prety much all made up by insurance companies anyway (see elephant giving you 1yr NCB for a 9 month policy).

    FYI: there is no national database of NCB like there is with accident history. It relies purely on the renewal letter and a follow up phone call if there are suspicions.
