When do the majority of eBay bids come in?

I have listed a few things on eBay but there hasn't been any bids or anything on them yet and I'm wondering whether bids on most things tend to come in at the last minute because people click the "View items ending in next 30 mins" button etc. and listing appears at top of category listed in.

It does depend on what you sell, electricals, DVDs and things where there are a lot listed tend to only get bids at the very last moment as people will sit at the PC and bid as each one ends. If one goes too high for them, they just move onto the next one.
Some other collectable or unusual items can attract bids very early on. I have some 10 day listings finishing tomorrow where I have had bids since day 1.

Having a good Title with a couple of good keywords seems to help. Maybe give that ago, do some research, try searching for similar items to the ones you are selling and see what they are doing differently.

I was quite annoyed that I lost the first 10 hours of the listings whilst eBay "indexed" it on the site - it didn't appear on search or in the category listings which is quite annoying as it didn't happen last time I listed something.
shiv, congratulations on your first post and welcome to the forums. :T0 -
Bids do tend to come at the very last minute. Make sure you have counters on your auctions then you can tell how many people have looked at your auction. Also check the number of watchers - that is probably the best indication of how many interested people you have. Good luck and I hope your auctions go well:rotfl:0

...which is why I usually plan to end my auctions at the weekends.
I recently sold two fairly up-to-date phones on eBay. One auction ended on Sat, the second on the following Sun.
In each case there were no bids until the actual morning of the auction ending. Several watchers, about 5 in each case max but no bids until the last moments of each auction.
Both went for about the same price too...“When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around.
But when I got to be twenty one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.”
