Hi, can anyone clarify this one for me.

I am considering buying a few items from no 7 whilst the 3 4 2 is on but i have a few blinkies as well and i'm trying to establish whether i'm better off not doing the 3 4 2 and buying each item separately using a blinkie or whether i am better of doing the 3 4 2 and using 1 blinkie?

Easy way to is to remember £10 when working out whether 3 items are cheaper individually or on 3 for 2 when using £5 vouchers

If say all items are £10 it is the same price on 342 or individually...but better 342 as you use less vouchers

    All under £10 cheaper individually
All over £10 cheaper on 342

If you wait for them all to arrive, then ring CS and they will arrange for them to be collected from your home, a lot easier than taking back to store or asking neighbours to refuse delivery.

Have they confirmed this? Not questioning you as such, just the policy is that they will not pick up and any mistakes...theirs or yours...must be taken back to boots store or post office. Hope you do not take offence by me clarifying, just do not want people to count on it if CS will not do this etc :)

If you are going to do this I'd speak to the store manager first. I know others have said that you can do it, but I know it did not work for some last year who bought in 50% sale then tried to exchange in 75% sale. Alot of stores will refund you but will not resell...infact companies like m&s will not as it is their policy. However a nice word with the store manager may work due to the recent .com shambles!

I asked CS about ordering full price and taking back to store to re-buy and they said NO but gave the reason that it was because .com was seperate to Boots. Which doesn't make sense, as obviously you can return normal .com orders to store.

I think a lot of SAs would be skeptical that you paid full price when the invoice would show post-Xmas date and no prices.
  • Ugh, am annoyed reading some of these posts as I had a right dragon of an SA today. It was my first proper time bootsing. Wanted to get 3 No7 lip and eye sheens (for me, mum and nan) on 342, and use blinkie and 250pts voucher (the items were reduced to £2.83 each). SA said I could only use the blinkie on ONE item (e.g. couldn't combine the 3 x £2.83 and then take the £5 off that), so she wouldn't let me 342 as a result and refused to let me use the 250pts in conjunction with the blinkie.

But it seems that this is what lots of you do alot of the time? I guess I was just really unlucky with the SA I got.

Well money does come out of .com's money pot when returned to store with the order no etc, stock then gets transfered automatically to store stock on the system so no reason why not...confusing!

To get round the fact that .com invoice does not show prices, they will accept a print out of your order(not basket but the order in your history) or .com dispatch email

Awww, Delaneyjae, sorry, that's a shame, I've been really lucky lately with my SA's.
If they say it won't work, I just smile and say could you just try scanning it please, and usually the till accepts it.
I did have one a while back who scanned them all, the till accepted them, then she took out her glasses and carefully read all the small print, v e r y s l o w l y and told me I couldn't have them. I try and avoid her now! Usually the young men, esp if you have 'ladies items' in your basket will scan everything if you ask them. Or if the photo counter isn't busy, they are very helpful.
Hope you have better luck next time. This bootsing lark often seems to be about the luck of the draw anyway, some you win, some you loose, but it's great fun trying!

Technically they were correct as they specify not to be used in conjunction with any other offer or reduced items etc

However alot of SA's work on the policy of it scans then it is fine(CS will back this up too). Some lovely SA's will also manually reduce prices or add points though if they do not scan :)

If you know others are having things scan, but they are not allowed on the voucher t&c's then I take to a counter like pharmacy/baby/photo as the SA's are not so clued up about beauty and will scan most things without looking

    :)
  • Does anybody know if the fragrance gift sets are going to be reduced further in store??
