  • My first proper sale, i can't believe i've just found this post! (newbie alert)

Boots have messed me about so much with my replacement card, i've been waiting since october now and my temp one is falling apart! though i did get 500 points for complaining. :)
  • hopefully it will be the same tonight, start tonight and instore tomorrow. I dont normally write on the boards, Im more a reader I guess, Ive really enjoyed reading all your comments but Ive been staying up so late all these nights I just want it to start now! Maybe it would have been good if boots did press release stating exactly when it starts etc but then again superdrug did that and that was a disaster online

  • Hi, Im new too, I got my first blinkie the other day and still havent used it yet and today I got my first ever delivery from boots, I ordered one of those S&G glove sets because the stock went down to 2...well it arrived and its great and I was really surprised to see there was a free bottle of johnsons lotion and free lacoste perfumesample and free hugo boss sample, nice surprise
  • One of the questions that was asked a lot last year was how to quickly fill in your details when going through checkout on dot com with your shopping. Some browsers have an autofill option where you can store your name, address, card details etc to quickly add them with a couple of keystrokes. You can also store templates for the checkout forms of sites you use regularly.

If you are using IE then the free Google toolbar has the autofill option, there is also an autofill add-on for Firefox.

Hope this helps you guys get the bargains you are hoping for on dot com tonight, a few extra seconds can make all the difference :D

Might see you at Cribbs then Rose!!!! Your experience of last year's sale is very re-assuring. Hope it's like that this time!!!! I am just thinking about which bag I can take that is the least irritating - don't want it getting in my way!!!!:rotfl:

I have just sorted my bag and vouchers. I am going to put my bag in other halves rucksack and will have my hands free for shopping. Then with all my blinkies off downstairs to spend them and any points vouchers I may get. The No7 250 pointers with a blinky work well on the face wipes. £1.36 to pay and 250 points. OH coming in at 6.30a.m. to pick me up ( we are seperated after 27 years but that is another story!)as I want to be outside before they open. One other thing last year not all branches put up the 75% signs straightaway although prices were reduced. Best of luck to all. Looking forward to seeing photos of everybodies stash tommorow night. I dont think we are mad at all its just good fun!!! Now where shall I put it all when I get home??
  • Passed by Shawlands baby Boots today and still 50% posters up, nothing changed instore.

Hi, I don't want to be a killjoy but it is so easy to spend too much so I thought I'd post Martin's words of wisdom for those who (like me) can't really afford much this time even if it is 75% off - dreading my gas bill.
    If you’re skint
    Do I need it?
    Can I afford it?
Have I checked if it’s cheaper anywhere else?
    If you’re not skint
    Will I use it?
    Is it worth it?
Have I checked if it’s cheaper anywhere else?
If any answer is no, don’t buy it!

    Happy bargain hunting everyone.
