I only seen a KMart in NY and I love shopping. Remember to go to the Visitors centre in both Bloomingdales and Macys to get your 10% discount card. Also if you spend over $100 in Bloomingdales take your receipt to the Visitors centre to get you free gift.

lol, I have loads of those green leather keyrings from Blooningdales, Infact so does my mum, sister, nieces, stationary cupboard at work:rotfl: I have been getting the same free gift for the past 10 years!

I just love NY. I feel just as much at home there as I do in London.

Back on topic, I hope the on-line sale starts before I leave for work tomorrow as this will mean I won't have to have a 4 hour lunch break.

If I recall correctly, I went to my local big Boots for opening time and there were about ten women outside waiting. It was pretty brisk inside though and I do recall several full trolleyloads going through the checkouts. I do also recall though that over the following few days the shelves kept filling up again...not ever as much as there was on the first day but a solid trickle of items, including ones that had never been in stock before in that branch. I kept a regular eye on my four local branches over the next two weeks and got quite a lot of items. So if you feel you haven't quite got enough on the first hit, keep popping back this side of the weekend.

And similarly don't feel you have to spend all your sale budget (whether points or cash) on things immediately..just get the items you want, rather than randomly grabbing. The Boots warehouses are big, sales were down this year. There will be plenty of things if all you want are generic gifts.

  • will ALL sale items be 75% off? including the electrical items? or is it just health and beauty?
