Can anyone recommend some decent electric hair tongs (for curls) as theres loads on .com and its hard to know if the cheap ones are naff or the expensive ones are a waste of money? TIA
The best curling tongs are fudge,i have tried many makes and have purchased a total of 8 (yes, eight!!) curling tongs before i got these as a prezzie. They are pretty expensave though (£100) but are worth every penny. I have dead straight hair which jst does not curl but the fudge tong works great! HTH (have a look on ebay)0 -

The BEST curl tongs which Babyliss curl press are fantastic and I get HUGE compliments when I use them. I wouldnt use anything else.I have had mine for a few years. They only fault with them is they can get too warm and dont have a heat button to tell you when they are warm
Good points is they are quick & total foolproof to use Plus the curls really stay. I can culr it one day and the curls still look fresh the next day.
They give a lovely spiral curl effect.Only thing is I think they are cheaper at argos & amazon the last time my pal bought them- as she liked my hair so much.
Dont get the You curl ( really hard to use ) or remmington rag rollers- awful - or the babyliss airstyler.
Im really lucky as I get to review straightners etc for a well known company and keep the products.0 -

Your points will be automatically credited to your account. Then 5 days after your order is despatched go in store and put your card into the big pink ac machine, your points will be added to your card.
A blinkie is a voucher given by the sales assistant when you spend £5 or more. It is for £5 off No.7 or Ruby and Millie. Expires 01/02/09. Valid on reduced items but not on xmas sale gift sets. hth0 -

If I go to EK I mostly go the center. To be honest I have always found they have a good stock of gifts- havent been this week. However tend to sell out of other things quickily. I think this is a central place for a few people on here as the glitches go fast !!
Havent been to st enochs for ages ,so have no idea what it is like . Im nearer sauchiehall street -they are sometimes hit or miss.Sometimes I think they just have a downstairs for a laugh its that empty.
Sad about the fort as I usually find them good for things & loads of tills. Shame they have removed a lot of their gifts -I noticed myself some stores were taking gifts down and putting up SUNCREAM !!!! :eek:0 -

I'll find out from my niece (who works there) tomorrow how much sale stuff they have to go out as I'm sure she said they had tons more than Buch Galleries. I will report back tomorrow evening because if the fort is pants I'm heading into town. I'm too chicken to drive to EK on my own. The EK one I visited was in the shopping centre not the retail park. hth.
Bless your lil cotton socks Catherinethat is really kind of you to do that
I cant even do the rounds tommorow and check out the fort and town etc as I am working again  its really getting in the way of my life this work caper :rotfl:
I think you are right town sounds the best idea as ek is really far away and what with rush hour traffic id need to leave the house at 7.30am so id need to get up at 5.30 and that would muck Jacks routine up I dont like waking him out of his sleep
I just prefer the bigger stores as I always feel they have more stuff but the fort was soo empty eh I was shocked.
Hope we all get some bargains
Thanks again catherine0 -
I was at St.Enoch yesterday afternoon
they had Hackett,1 R&M set:rolleyes:, a few of the big sewing
bag, quite a few mens sets, cow mug thingies, and the mini perfume sets, also
a few hair sets, John Frieda,UG, Botanics.
They had about 6 aisles of stuff, and also at the main tills, at the windows, there were some other sale items.
I'll got there or Braehead who had a good few shelves full
