  • Yes I will be at the Argory. Not been there before, dont really know what to expect...any ideas?

It was great to meet so many people at Bangor Abbey. It makes such a difference having people to say hi too. Yes definitely too many jewellery stands! Apparently even if the organisers try to limit the number people insist that theirs is different and insist on going!!!! Really doesnt make it worth my while except for the tea and biscuits and the great company

    Yes,

all being well I will be there. I have done it for past 2 years and they always get an excellent crowd. I have requested marque as I have been there in the past. Although it can be very, very cold but despite bad weather public still turn up. For some families it has been a tradition to go every year to get their xmas trees etc. The 1st year I done it on the Sunday I wasn't going to go due to adverse weather and then I thought what have I to lose, I've paid my money and got all my stuff I'll take my chance and hey bingo it was excellent plus I got bookings for weddings from it!icon7.gif
  • Hi Choco, what is your craft? Is it the saturday you will be there? I am just doing the one day, sat. Do you know if there is any heat or can we bring a heater? Can you find out in advance where you have been put?
  • ill be in the marquee too :D both days, im excited about it now :D

ive only ever been there as a customer and it always gets a good crowd.

beadmad i spoke to the organiser recently, she asked me if i needed a power source so i dont think they have a problem supplying one. she also said they hadnt finalised where all the stalls would be but they were trying to give everyone their preference whether its in the marquee, in one of the smaller indoor areas or outside (only if u have your own covered stall)

I sell Belgian chocolate fountain dips plus Belgian Chocolate Hampers and in the past you have never been allowed to bring heaters, lots and lots of layers required, plus you can always get soup from cafe or bring your own flask.
  • Im very impressed with all you hardy crafters opting for outdoor fairs!! Im a complete weed only doing the indoor ones, under the guise of "my craft will suffer in the open air" - LOL! Enjoyed Bangor Abbey everyone who was there...bit of a mixed bag for us - if it hadnt been for one particular stock line we wouldnt have covered our hire - you just never know though. TOTALLY AGREE RE THE MUSIC!! Im up for bringing my dodgy selection for the next one....or alternatively for a small fee I can do your portrait and sing at the same time???? ;-)
Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T
  • NEW FAIR ALERT - RECEIVED THIS EMAIL OVER THE WEEKEND!

    Hi everyone

I am spreading the word about an Xmas Fair that SLIG are running on Saturday 12th December, 3-6pm. We are currently taking registration for stall holders and car boots. There is no fee for set up on the day, however I need confirmation by the 27th November if you want a space. There are limited spaces, so if you are interested, please complete the attached form and return it to me asap. Can you also let me know what you will be selling on the day, so I can spread stalls out.

    Many thanks,
    Paula
