Hi, where are you all spending Halloween - seem to be quite a few events around. I'm in Hillsborough Village Centre but just got the flyer and while they are advertising 'Gourmet Food Stalls' there is no mention of the craft fair going on - same old same old! Still, I've paid and nowhere else to go so we shall see....

Grr...why o why o why do people not advertise their events properly???? It never ceases to amaze me!!!

Anyway - I will be at Belmont on 7th, Bangor Abbey on 21st. Anyone else?
Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T

  • Hi everyone :cheesy:

Completely new here, and having read all the posts, just wanted to let you know of a fair I know about. Its kinda why I ended up here too, to try and find out more about the world of crafting lol

    St Marks Church, Newtownards,
    28 Nov, 11am - 3pm.

£20.00 per table. They want you there to set up early, ready for doors opening, but don't restrict what time you leave, or if it is really busy they said they won't say 'its 3.00pm, pack up now!'

I was given all this information by a lovely lady called Bettie who is organising it and I got her number from the church office. I don't want to give out Bettie's home number without her permission on the web, but the church's office number is 91813193 (freely available on the web). The office is only open mornings.

The tables are provided, and its advertised well.

I've never crafted before either - well not seriously - is it worth it? To coin (oh my goodness was it the Nolans???) my head is in a spin....:rotfl:
  • I will be at Bangor Abbey too. Could we have a password or something so that we recognise each other. I do feel a bit self conscious asking some poor unsuspecting person if they are supermum or introducing myself as bead mad:rotfl:

Sorry I cant make St Marks as its my parents church but im already booked somewhere else.

    Hi

Apparently this is only the second one they have done. Not sure how many people they have lined up for it as Bettie asked me to pass on to others. Like I said I'm new at this so... But going by all the information she gave me she has either had a lot of people asking questions, or is an experienced crafter herself.

Anyone at Belmont and Bangor Abbey please come and say hi! I'm jewellery (wot another one?!) but recognisable by my silver twisted wire jewellery trees - I've already met Supermum and Belle and got really excited about putting faces to names!! (I live a sad virtual existence through interenet forums obviously!) x
