Chelsea BS Fixed Rate closing

the Chelsea 4.55% Short Term Fixed is closing today-Wednesday and
the Chelsea 4.00% One Year Fixed is closing on Friday.

I was going to put my 1-year Northern Rock money (matures Jan 20th) into Chelsea, now looks as if I will have to withdraw most of it today, before the end date (it has of course always been instant access) to meet the deadline.

Opened a one year fixed rate bond paying 4.5% with First Save last night, still open at the moment.

Did your application go through smoothly or is it too early to say at the moment?
I have some money due from a Northern Rock fixed rate in a few days and am considering putting it with Firstsave. As they are covered by the FSCS I can't see any problems with them.
