Talk Talk - Poor Customer Services

I have to say it is no point paying that £30 home moving fee. Since the OP could of given notice, cancel the line, and than reconnect at new place at no charge granted with a new 18 month contract. But they got that as well. When my parents move from my house to their new house with Virgin aka NTL at the time, they actually did not charge anything for the move nor require a new contract....
The only advantage of the £30 option is if you can move say from property A to B within your contract term and still keep the contract term / it get extended but you than dont have to pay the cancellation fee / line rental remaining. I know when we had a BT line we paid £49.99 and it is a 3 year contract but if we moved during those three years, they would charge us other £49.99 and start contract again. But you do not have to pay for example 2 years worth of rent. So to Talktalk I think you should as a gesture of goodwill actually waive the £70 cancellation fee since the homemove should not of even been offered!0 -
I don't trust TalkTalk, too shady, having dealt with them in the past, never again. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Thanks everyone for your posts. Talktalk are currently in the process of tracing the call - so when they get back to me - ill fill you in. I certainly feel they should waiver the £70 charge as I think, like you said, its not really a home move service, they have treated me as an entirely new customer.
Ill keep you all updated.

Or they're trying to find out what you can remember!kareemsmostaffa wrote: »Still no news guys - but i have email requesting the details of the call so they must still be searching their archives!!!!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
