Harveys have a shop in Parc Tawe, Swansea (opened 11 weeks ago) selling end of line, damaged, ex-sale etc furniture. I only went in to have a look around (I'd actually gone to town buy a diary from Staples) and ended up buying a really nice 3-seater sofa and armchair for £199. The sofa had a hole in the fabric (but at the back, where no-one looks, anyway). I had a same-day delivery (another £30), but you can also collect yourself.
I was a bit cautious about buying there (Harveys don't have a fantastic reputation) and paid by credit card, but they couldn't have been more helpful, and the delivery lads were really polite and careful. (and No, I don't have any connection with them - ).
My receipt stated that some of the furniture might be pre-owned or repaired, but mine was just damaged, but you need to check before you buy.
There were lounge suites, tables, chairs, coffee tables mainly, and the assistant said they have new stock in each week.

Thanks for that, must have a look. It's an awkward area to get to on foot as I don't drive,so I suppose the footbridge by the castle is the quickest way in from the town centre.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
