Help With Transferring To New Bank Acc Due To DMP?

  • Hi Pixie :hello:

if you cancel dd's with your bank but not the company you won't be charged by your bank. The companies will probably get in touch with you and ask you to organise payments, although they can just re-request the dd again from your bank after 14 days. Your bank still won't charge you for this, but the companies might... Gives you a bit of breathing space though.

Good luck with your DMP!

have a look at this .. tells you what you need...! i switched to nationwide from halifax.. you need a billy basic account and one that isn't linked to your current bank. 2nd page gives you that.

Well I called my HR dept and Im too late to re-direct my wages else where and I went into Natwest who advised me that even though all the info had been sent to me and I had returned them, i was a long way off actually getting an account. She said they would need copies of my last three months bank statements because they take into account how people have managed their money in the past - even for a step account. So it doesnt sound that promising to me :(

Could you try Co-op Cashminder account? They are very quick and don't check anything except your ID.

sorry to hear it was too late to change your wages pixie, will they be able to pay you by cheque instead?

natwest didn't ask me for 3 months statements when I opened my account but now I have too find a different bank too as they're linked to my old one.

hope the co-op one goes through ok

    big hugs

    xx
