Hi and Welcome.I add oats too or oatmeal (in place of a bit of the flour) it gives a really nice taste. Healthy too. As for flour I tried different ones and the best have been Doves especially the Malthouse bread flour which is excellent, Tesco organic white and Waitrose organic white, wholemeal and malted grain. I use the Doves yeast too.

Hi, I have the Panasonic SD 254 and have been using it almost daily for over a year. I have tried various flours, yeasts etc and now use Waitrose Strong Canadian bread flour for bread as I find this gives the best loaf for us.
I have tried all the supermarket own brands which are fine as well as other branded makes but we just prefer the Waitrose one. If I can't get to Waitrose then my next preference is Sainsbury's own bread flour.
As for yeast, I had disaster after disaster with the Allinson's yeast in a tin and have gone back to my preferred sachets of Sainsbury's own.
Think it all comes down to personal preference and I would say just keep trying different brands and see what works for you.
The marzipan and cherry loaf in the recipe book that comes with the SD254 is delicious if you like that sort of thing.0
