What YouTube video was that Kittie? and do you think it made a difference what "brand" of potato they were?
Linkie please...:)
I just know that, when I dried potatoes, they were absolutely revolting. Smelt awful, looked awful, I didnt get round to tasting them - I'd been so offput that I just threw them away.0 -
Thanks Kittie. Now i just have to find a space to shoehorn it into... :whistle:Time flies like an arrow.

I bought this 4 in 1 dehydrator which cooks rice, makes yoghurt, dehydrate and steams food

It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

I've just seen this listing on ebay and if its real then its the bargain of the century! I have been looking at the listing for an hour and don't know what to do.... shall I forget about it as its bound to be a scam??
The seller apparently has 88 of the machines. But they are 110v so you would would need to buy a convertor. I don't mind doing this at all!

If I do 'buy it now' and it turns out to be a scam, will Paypal refund the money? There are already 14 sold so I won't be alone!!!0 -
Cor!!!!! HOW much - or rather How Little?
If thats for real its a good deal - a seriously good deal.
I dont use EBay - so have no way of knowing how "safe" it is to buy anything from there - but someone should be along soon who knows..0 -
pay with paypal (of course) and use your card rather than bank account, that way your bank can do a chargeback, as well as having paypal protection
got to be worth a go for £160 -

I've got money in my paypal so I think I'll move it over now and then buy one. I emailed the person this morning to ask if there was a problem with them and if they were in the UK but i've not heard back. I feel certain its a scam but it could just be that a 110v container have been delivered to the UK and they just want to shift them?
I would be gutted if I missed out at that price! They have sold 20 today now. :eek:0 -
I've just bought one too. Used paypal and the credit card so there's 2 layers of protection there!
Thanks for posting0 -

Oh well ebay pulled the auction so it wasn't real after all. Its cost me a couple of hundred pound though because I ended up ordering a real Excalibur!
I've got the cheapy round one but I never get results like the woman on youtube who has millions of jars of stuff that all look like tiny miniatures of what they are.... mine always look like pathetic excuses for veg!
So hopefully I can get cracking and make some healthy flavour filled food. I'm always running out of mushrooms so will try them first. Does anyone else do them and are they ok for on things like pizza after they have been re-hydrated?0 -
So, my Excalibur arrived and i'm in love!
I went to Tesco and bought a load of cherries reduced to 25p a bag and a few tubs of strawberries. Then I set to and dehydrated the cherries until they looked like hollow raisins.
I dehydrated most of the strawberries but saved a few and added an over-ripe banana and made a fruit leather, adding a bit of yoghurt to loosen it a bit.
I also did some tomatoes and a few other bits... then I ran out of things lol!
But everything stayed vibrant and looks great. I don't like strawberries when fresh but I can eat them dehydrated which is good as they are packed full of antioxidants. Excalibur is going to work non-stop as i'm having such fun!!0
