Should I tick the box 'scan unwanted applications'? Not sure what this does?

So sorry, I didn't read the instructions given. Am so worked up as I depend massively on my computer.
Am now scanning as outlined above.:j

Some scans take so long I leave them running overnight!

You NEED to uninstall AVG at some point though
Id suggest AVAST or AVIRA anti virus in its place (AVG 8 seems to have problems all the time these days)

Any preferences?
I don't have any knowledge or experience of either.
My ESET scan is nearly at the end now, showing no threats found.
Not sure to be pleased or not because if nothing found then I'm left with original problem!:eek:
