Hi all.
I have(my friend) Virgin internet installed in my front room, and would like to move it into another room.
Basicly i have Virgin/Telewest box on the wall with a cable going to my modem(motorola)3mtr long, it just looks like a coax cable to me.
What i need is a longer cable 15mtr long with 2 connectors, where will i get these from, and what are the correct names for the parts i need?
Will try and post some pics if it can, when boxing in removed.

the easiest thing to do, is to leave the modem where it is, and just extend the ethernet cable that you have..0

Thanks, but it is not an option, as the modem will be behind( not accessable) some wall units after the room is refitted.A thankyou is payment enough .0

it probably is coax cable, B&Q is the best bet, but you definately need to test it..
thing with ethernet, it will work at lengths up to 90m no probs, as this is cable broadband, it might not work after a certain length!

Use a decent Satellite F Connector Plug to Plug, either from Maplin, B&QMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

Indeed, a couple of " f " connecters with a length of good quality satellite cable will do the trick, you can buy made up lengths on ebay.0

Yeah, you need some satellite grade co-ax and f connectors. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
