Downloading newspapers to read offline!

Options
Please how do you download and keep newspapers to read later on offline? I am teaching hubby to use the computer to read his newspaper. He is so slow and I thought it would be a good idea for him to read them offline in his leisure. Thanks

But surely that means you have to be online???

You can save individual articles to your PC as a file which can then be read at a later date (you don't need to be on the net either whilst reading them)

Find an article to download, then click File > Save As or File > Save (Save As in my browser) then find a place to store the article - I recommend creating a new folder called Articles and save them all in there. Type a suitable name in File Name, then in Save as type, select Web Archive, single file (*.mht). Now click Save/OK and browse to the folder. Double click the article and it opens, and you don't need to be on the net.

If you are doing it this way I would recommend you delete them once read because everything, including images etc. is saved to your computer and it will consume quite a lot of space!

No. I use Newsgator integrated into my Outlook. Whenever Outlook does a send/receive it automatically downloads the feeds I'm subscribed to into an Outlook folder, so I could then read them offline at my leisure.
