Barclaycard application

Hi,
Ive recently moved, but still keep everything under my mums address as i plan to buy a house in 6 months (im renting at the moment).
i had a few probs in the past years ago including a company that ccj'd me in error! after threatening legal action they removed it and sent me confirmation.
I switched banks to natwest in 2007 and applied for a c/card and was declined, i re-applied in aug and was accepted with a 1950 limit only have about £300 on the card and always pay well over minimum... applied on new years eve and got accepted for a gold card with them with 2050 limit.
Decided to apply for gold barclaycard few days ago but was told "We need more time..." by the online system. Havent heard anything since, wasnt a straight decline but i wasnt on electoral role for a few years which may be problem. Anyone else had this?

UPDATE...
Had an email today to advise me i have been accepted for the gold barclaycard with "a credit limit of £2000 to start..."
Is 2k a low/good limit for someone who is not on electoral roll?

limits depend on
your credit profile/risk
your income
the policy of the lender at that point in time

Don't take it the limit as related to your status, as it isn't necessarily.

I was offered a limit of £260 from one lender and £4000 from another within a few months of each other.
