Invalid update control CTF File

My laptop runs on Vista and has AVG anti virus. For the last few weeks it tells me my virus protection is out of date, when i click the option to try and update, the message in the header appears. It does not let me update the virus protection. Can anyone please tell me how i can sort this problem with the control CTF File.

Please uninstall AVG and install Avira AntiVir unfortunately AVG isn't very good any more:rolleyes:. http://www.filehippo.com/download_antivir/0
