Sorry, i'm sure you get asked this question all the time.
I'm looking for a laptop and i have no idea as to what i'm looking for.
I need to be able to do the following:
Internet
Watching movies
Course work
I have a budget of 400.
Any advise or jargon explaination would be apprechiated, as i understand NOTHING!
Thanks

They are quite a few sales on at the moment. Found a HP laptop for under £400
on PC World website - HP G60-100EM - £371.89 inc VAT
Most laptops come pre-loaded with Windows Vista and microsoft works(scaled
down version of Microsoft office) which please someone correct me if im wrong
is a trial version. I say most as Asus have released laptops with their own version of Linux.
If you are a student you can get Microsoft Office version
for £48 from PC world.

I know it is at the top of your budget, but with a large hard drie and loads of memory it should be good for what you want. Don't get conned into buying their software, look at the Free Software Sticky at the start of this thread for Anti-Virus, etc. I thought Open office was an equivalent to Office and for free?
