Home Buyers Survey : Dyno rod!

 The buyer for our house had a home buyers survey done with e-surv, the report came back stating the drains were blocked.
We knew they were not. We were charged £107 for a written confirmation by Dyno rod that the drains were absolutely clear. Even though it states they do a free written qoutation and no call out fee. The drain man was virtually laughing while taking our credit card for watching some water go into the drain.
We don't even have any comeback with the surveyer that carried out the survey for basic incompetence.
Any ideas for getting our money back from Dyno rod? What should I do?

they should have advised you on the phone of the basic cost of the call out?Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

do you have a copy of the survey, i would contact the surveyor and express your disappointment at what appears to be their incompetence and bill them 107 quid0

You cuold have invited the buyer round and poured a bucket of dye round the bog and held their head down the man hole cover until they spotted the colour.0

It's 107 quid for your buyer's peace of mind on a much bigger investment by them and your way out of the house.
I've had the same once in the past but the fact is they might not buy without that confirmation so you have to swallow it. Their survey might not say the drains were blocked, some surveyors just recommend a drains survey.
I can understand dynorod completely. No call out fee and a free quotation is different to writing to confirm that there is nothing wrong. There will be a charge for that rather than just taking the guy's word for it - it doesn't give you the result you need - written confirmation of the all clear to your buyers. Dynorod will have to be underwritten by some sort of Professional Indemnity insurance for that.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
