The cost to run a 4 bed detached house!

Where is your thermostat located? Do you wear a lot of layers? I find two fleeces are brilliant for keeping warm without restricting your movement. Have you tried just heating your office all day rather than the entire house? As your house is not well insulated, most of this money is going to heat the street. Have you considered plastic film secondary 'glazing' or thermally lined curtains?
