I've moved this in here as this is the board people are more likely to visit if looking for this kind of thing.0

When I tried it came back with this message
You have submitted an unknown OEM Code or no code at all. Be careful to fill in the correct code0 -
There are alot of other free options out there for antivirus/firewall. Norman hasn't got the best reputation as a product!
Free antivirus........Avast, AVG
Free firewall..........Zonealarm, Sygate, Kerio
These are all completely free versions. You won't have to pay for them in six months time after any offer finishes. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Another good alternative is the Computer Associates Anti Virus which is free for a year. It is used as part of the Zonealarm security suite.

Regular updates & good detection.

Really? If you had said "...part of the eTrust Security Suite" I would have agreed. To the best of my knowledge, ZoneLabs is not associated with Computer Associates (!) in any way, and thus the ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite is an entirely different product.

I wonder why it's called "Norman" ? - not possibly to take advantage of any confusion with a certain product from Symantec?Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !0

Have a look at the Cnet.com review of ZoneAlarm with AntiVirus which is about half way down the page. I knew it was the Computer Associates AV because having used it for a few years I recognised the interface whilst using a trial of ZoneAlarm.

Lets be honest, Zonelabs aren't going to shout about the fact you can get a free copy of the basic firewall & a free copy (1 year)of CA Antivirus & create a version of something they are charging for. :-)
