PONTINS: Hemsby closed down

From immediate effect Pontins Hemsby has closed.

We had our summer holiday booked there, you can transfer to another holiday or get a full refund.

Left us in the lurch big time

PS: Good luck to all the staff and Bluecoats they were all exellent

Hi,

You should be given two options.

1) they should be able to swap you to another pontis park, 2) give you back your deposit and rebook somewhere else.

I would do the second..... mostly because there are a lot of holiday parks in that area!

Whatever you do book it through your local travel agent...(their shouldnt be any diff in price going via an agent than going direct!) they need all the support they can get!

I paid with my Tesco vouchers as thats the only way i can afford it.

The alternative sites are too far away for me.

Im currently looking at Park Resorts, Brendan Water which is near Yarnouth as an alternative and they take Tesco Vouchers

deanos, if you pay with Tesco vouchers at these places the prices actually go up!
If you booked a week for £300 and paid cash, that week would be £450 with tesco vouchers.

No it dosent do up in my experience, just booked with Park Resorts in Norfolk, 7 nights internet price £229 (Brocure Price £320) , just confirmed over the phone and paid the internet price, ive just got to send in the vouchers , total price £57.50 in Tesco Points :j

I did look at Butlins and they do as you describe you have to pay brocure price, not the case with Park Resorts & Pontins, you can use special offers

Now to ring up Pontins and get my money back:o

Well there is good news, they are doubling Pakefield down the road and making it self catering

I went there for a weekend music festival last March.
It needed closing down. It stank.
