Thanks MrsTine, very interesting reading, I shall remember all this info. I am just going to go straight for it I think and make a complaint to the OFT about this company and advise them that I am doing so. I am also going to write a letter to NDR being firm in my stance that no credit agreement or proof then absolutely no payment and if they wish to take me to court then that is there choice. I feel much better now as I was feeling rather low earlier - its amazing how all the folks on here can make you feel more upbeat and positive about things again - Let the Battle commence!!!!! Lol!0

Make sure you explain the impact of this treatment and how low you felt earlier, as they need to be held responsible for their misbehaviour. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Well, I've just found a letter on this forum and added my wee bits into it. Quite chuffed with it too - I think its a corker, hopefully that will bring some results :j . I'll see what kind of reply I get from them.0

Debt collectors have no more power than the paperboy.
:rotfl:I still like that one.Next time one turns up demand his identity document, record the conversation and then report him. He is a lying little !!!!!!.
Not only that but unless things have changed, even a 'real' bailiff can't take livestock, and that is what a dog would be counted as.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -

Debatable - some have been known to try and take pedigree animals - dogs are in most instances of law seen as property and so some bailiffs think they can take them... I don't know of any recent cases in the courts where the law has prevented them or them recently trying to actually cease an animal. Technically I think by law they can cease a dog or cat... a neutered mongrel wouldn't be of much interest (other than to try and intimidate) as it's worthless in monetary terms, but a breeding pedigree? Wouldn't put it past them. However again they can't cease anything without going through the legal hoops
and then only bailiffs can cease things - DCA can't cease anything more than joe bloggs walkign by on the street could... if they do it's theft
