Firstly appoligies if this is the incorrect place to type this but my little girls in tears and I dont know where I stand with my current situation.
To explain to you, money is very tight due to every spare penny being thrown at reducing our debts.
The thought of a holiday was a sore point this year until we discovered that we could use our clubcard vouchers from Tescos for Butlins.
So on the 7th Jan I phoned Butlins to get a price for the 3 of us and to ask how we paid using clubcard points.
The lady who spoke to use (I do have her name) was very helpful and suggested a themed 4 day break epsecially for people with young children as its got thinks being held such as a Teddy bears picnic.
This sounded excellent for us and I was told the price for 2 adults and my little grl would be £131. This isthe same price that I can get it today on the net.
I asked how to book with my points and was told to convert them to deals fill in the form and job done.
I was told things such as my surname must be the same as on the deals which it is as these are my clubcard points.
Anyway tonight I phone to book already knowing that we wanted basic accomadation and the dates only to be told thats £300 please. I questioned this and was told that because I wanted to pay in points the prices were much higher as if I was paying cash for those 5 days it would be £131 but not in vouchers. No offers like the ones there having at the moment are available to anyone paying in points.
I was really upset but thanked the advisor and put down the phone.
Ten minutes later I decided to phone back and speak to a supervisor. I can prove the the phonecall to the lady who gave me the £131 price was made as I have a fully itemised online bill. Ths supervisor was very nice to me and did try to book the break for the £131 using clubcard points but it wouldnt let him. He said this happens very often and has given me his bosses number to ring on Monday. At no point was anybody rude.
During this time my sister in law who was looking after my little girl told her that Mummy was on the phone to Butlins and we wernt going anymore.
Ive tried getting her to sleep 3 times now but she goes off then wakes up crying that she cannot take her teddy to the picninc ( Ive promised her that we can have a picninc with teddy at home tommorow)
Can anyone please offer any advice. I now have £130 of Butlins vouchers, a crying daughter and no holiday.
Theres no way that I can afford to pay the extra. As I have nothing in writing is there anything I can do. Id have never have told my little girl if Id have known this was going to happen. Treats are rare for her so I know she was really looking forward to this.
I also dont thing that prices should be put up by around 115% just because your paying with deals. Butlins are happy to accept these vouchers and certainly make money from you while your there.
Can anyone please offer any advice.
I have looked on the Tescos webpage which I havent before and it does state in small print that tokens cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and are valid against brosure prices that are subject the change.
I suppose there saying as the £131 is a discounted price thats why I cannot use deals to pay for it.
Thanks for reading this and for any comments made. Im off to try and get her to sleep again. My arms will ache of the rocking!

Myself and the rather nice supervisor did try to track her down. But as he said can you imagine how many Sarahs work here. If I dont get anywhere with this big boss on Monday morning im going to ask them to invertigate. After all I have the date and exact time of the call so that should help to track down any Sarahs working at that time
Shes gone back down for now after telling Teddy the bad news and cuddling him so tightlyMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!

If the worse comes to the worse, you could use them to book a Haven short break, it would be similar, and the clubcard deals vouchers for butlins are valid for haven.Always on the hunt for a bargain0
