Not seen anyone mention it, so I thought I'd make a recommendation.
If you've got a lot of Photo's and want a decent piece of software to organise/edit/optimize them, have a look at Google's Picasa. It can read EXIF tags and allows you to add captions to all your photos.
Oh, and it's free!

Hi
Excellent piece of software, been using it for a bit now.0 -
I agree Picasa is a great programme.
You can get it with other free programmes as part of Google Pack
http://pack.google.com/pack_installer.html?nopers
With this you also get Google Earth Firefox with a Google Toolbar, Adaware SE among others.
Best thing is that the Google updater will keep them up to date. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I use faststone image viewer , absoloutely love it. Brilliant design in how to access the menus.
and again it's freeHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
Can't recommend this free programme enough. I use it to send emails, download photos to a blog page for sharing, and managing all those pictures and videos I have lying around.
The best thing for me is that it doesn't change the underlying picture when changing contrast, colours, filters, etc: it just stores the procedures applied to the file. This means no loss of quality if you decide to use another programme laterJumbo
