Google Picasa - Photo Editing/Management

Options
Not seen anyone mention it, so I thought I'd make a recommendation.

If you've got a lot of Photo's and want a decent piece of software to organise/edit/optimize them, have a look at Google's Picasa. It can read EXIF tags and allows you to add captions to all your photos.

Oh, and it's free!

I agree Picasa is a great programme.

You can get it with other free programmes as part of Google Pack

With this you also get Google Earth Firefox with a Google Toolbar, Adaware SE among others.

Best thing is that the Google updater will keep them up to date.

Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying
  • Can't recommend this free programme enough. I use it to send emails, download photos to a blog page for sharing, and managing all those pictures and videos I have lying around.

The best thing for me is that it doesn't change the underlying picture when changing contrast, colours, filters, etc: it just stores the procedures applied to the file. This means no loss of quality if you decide to use another programme later :)
