What happens if you decide to add a bidder to your blocked bidders list that has already bid? Does it mean that they cant bid further on that item OR can they bid on that item but not on future ones?
Thanks in advance

Hi i believe that once blocked they are barred from future auctions. but you could just cancel his bid then he wouldnt be able to bid again !
hope this helpsIf it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anywaySarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them

yeah, but does anyone know for definite if they can't continue to bid on the auction they have bid on once you have added them to your blocked bidders list.
Basically, my item was at £160. A bidder whom i believe to be a scammer bid it to £200. The original bidder who was at £160 had a proxy bid which took him to £210 automatically. I don't want the scammer to bid again or win, but if i remove their bid the auction will drop back to £160.0 -

yes, but as i have said if i cancel his bid my auction drops £50 in value - read what i put above.
Am curious to know if blocking him bidding stops him bidding only on subsequent auctions OR stops him bidding on all my auctions, ie including bidding further on the one he has just bid on0 -
I've no idea whether he'd still be able to bid after being added to the blocked bidders list - I know that it won't remove the bid he's already placed so I would suspect he would only be blocked from further auctions. However, as others have said, if you think its a scammer then the bid should be cancelled, end of story. The £50 is irrelevant IMO as its not a geniune bid but at least you know what the real bidder is willing to pay now.He huihuinga taangata he pukenga whakaaro – A meeting of people; a wellspring of ideas (Maori proverb)0

If he was a scammer he would probably bid so that he defiantely won and increase his bid to more than the highest. If I was you I would watch the auction closely especially near the end and if he does bid again cancel his bid and block him. After this he will not be able to bid again.0

A bidder cannot bid after being placed on the blocked bidder list. However, any bids already made will remain.

I've been in this situation a few times. I've always assumed that a buyer is unable to bid on any of your items after being put on your block list, even if they have already made a bid on one of your items before being blocked.
I've blocked suspicious buyers but not cancelled their existing bids if they have been outbid by a legit buyer (to raise the price). I've never had a suspicious buyer re-bid on an item after being blocked, so I assume that they are blocked from all of my listings even if they have already made a bid.
I've been assuming this is how it works for a while now, but it would be good to have absolute confirmation.0 -
thanks folks. the item went well above that in the end, however its worth knowing for future reference.
Thanks again0
