I think the different letters generally denote which region the TV is produced for. I could be wrong though.

You need the B. (we have the 42'' version)

The rest are NOT UK Variants. If it's not got the Freesat Brand approval (and only the B has) it will not have access to the EPG. You'll get Now and Next as a guide. but not the 7 day EPG.

You cannot set the Freesat side to pick up a non freesat broadcast, however there is a "other satellite" section where it will let you put anything else. To be honest there is some french stuff but as I cant speak French I've never looked at what it is. If you can get it without a card on a Sky box you can probably pick it up on a Freesat Box. If I remember I'll look tonight.

After checking TV5 DOES NOT appear on Freesat or the other channels. It looks like the only thing you can get from the satellite cluster the Freesat signal comes from is TV5 Monde Europe but it's encrypter by the Sky Videocrypt siganl so cannot be decoded without a valid Sky card and suitable decoder module in the TV. Sky have never made CAM's than can go into TV's or recievers so you probably out of luck with the Freesat route.

You can see a list of what channels you can get (and remember whist it can recieve all channels you can only by default watch the Free to Air (FTA) ones) here ==> http://nl.kingofsat.net/pos-28.2E.php
You may be able to buy CAM's and Cards to watch encrypted channels but as all those are encrypted with Sky's system and they don't make the CAM's availalbe you probably will not be able to see or hear anything marked videoguard.
