Is it possible to open an account online?

I'm looking for an account that pays good interest. Is it possible to set an account up over the net. I don't get out much due to health problems so setting up an account via the high street isn't really an option. Also I'm not saving huge amounts of money roughly £51 a month but on occasions this will be more.I wont be dipping into this account regulary its purley for money to go in to until I have saved enough.

i have opened an account online with cahoot and more recently nationwide with no problems. however they do post you some forms to sign and you may need to send some proof of ID so you will have to probably make it to the post box, or get someone else to post the info for you.

A & L appear to accept online applications quite readily (subject to whatever their checks are)
