The FP 2011 was available much later than that, see here. I switched back then and am now wondering if it's time to switch, we are paying over £120/month for combined gas/elec.
We've been with Scottish Power for 12 months now so have a full year of usage;
Gas is 14143kWh
Elec is 4075kWh
Mid terrace house, fully double glazed, gas central heating on 3x4 hour programmes throughout the day, gas fire in living room if needed, gas cooker, electric oven, all energy saving bulbs, mixer shower, tropical fish tank with heater on 24/7 and light on timer 8 hours per day.
Time for a new boiler me thinks

Hi, I switched to Scottish Power Fixed Price Enercy Online NSC in September as recommended by Martin. I pay £109 per month but am £191 in credit so far.
Would it be adviseable to switch to another supplier now?
I have been through MoneySupermarket and it came up with the suggestion that I would save nearly £200 a year switching to EDF energy. Unfortunately, I have not been really been following the news regarding gas and electricity price changes and have not seen anything in the news that would suggest that prices are falling...
Can anyone help me? Have price dropped dramatically? Is there any point in my switching from my current supplier at the moment? Are there any more suitable tariffs out at the moment?
I'm having a baby soon and what with the recession and everything, I really would like to shrink our monthly outgoings.
Many thanks0 -
We were on fixed price 2011. Scottish Power (SP) then upped my DD from £90 to £136. I used Energyhelpline and transfered to EDF with a saving of £136 per year, taking the risk that prices will now be coming down. SP rang twice to ask why I was moving. Took great delight in saying fixed price deal, no increase in usage over the year, they upped the DD unilaterally with no justification so I moved. Basically they did me me a favour by upping the DD, otherwise I may not have bothered.0

Just had our DD upped to 93.50 from 73.50.0

I am also on the fixed price online tariff ,this month when my dd came out they took £100 instead of £73!!!!!!!!!!! I had no notification of this they just took it? When i called them they said " oh yeah we did have complaints about people not recieving emails" they offered not apology and despite the fact my account id £58 in credit they wouldnt budge.Ididnt think anyone was allowed to take more money from your account without permission.?In Perfect love and Perfect Trust.0

HI all, sorry for the delay.
After a couple of email reminders, scottish power got back to me with annual usage for electricity as 1850 KWh and Gas as 7950 KWh.
Had to phone them to confirm that I am on 'Fixed Price Energy Online 2011'.
Strangely, when I did a check on stats on my online account myself, I calculated my annual Electric consumption as 2000 KWh and Gas as 9000 KWh approx.
Also Scottish power say that I am on cheapest tariff, but when compared online I save £130 annualy if I switch to npower ( Sign Online 14 - Standard) and £60 if I switch to Scottish Power's 'pricesure enery online.
Should I wait or switch?0
