missing balance transfers

I applied for a Tesco Clubcard credit card 0% balance transfer last october, to pay off a Caravan Clubcard . They keep claiming that it had been sucessfully completed, but my CaravanClubcard says they haven't recieved any money from them. The problem lies with Caravan Clubcard selling out from Goldfish to Barclaycard last October, just as my transfer was supposed to go through. All this was discussed with the operator from Tesco at the time, who stated that it wouldn't be a problem as the card/ account was still CaravanClubcard, so continuity would not be a problem. Each company is blaming each other, meanwhile I am being charged interest, payment insurance and suffering sleepless nights on two lots of debt now! Who is at fault? Tesco or Caravan Club card AKA Barclaycard/Goldfish ? PLEASE HELP It's costing me a fortune ringing them whilst they blame each other.

If you feel you have grounds for complaint against Barclaycard and/or Tesco, I would request a copy of their complaints procedure. This sets out the time limits allowed for dealing with your complaint. The company is also obliged to confirm the result of your complaint in writing. You have the right to take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman if you are not satisfied with the outcome.

I'd say its Barclaycard who are reponsible. They took on the peoples cards and numbers so its up to them to ensure any payments/transfers reach the proper account. Its the same as when Barclaycard took over Morgan Stanley. I had made a payment to my MS account so phoned up Barclays to make sure it reached the right place... they assured me it would, and it did. So the accounts should be linked.
