spellchecker on outlook express

:-/ for some reason every time i try to check spelling on emails before sending an error message comes up telling me that an error occurred whilst checking/ can i reload the spellchecker?

OE uses the spellchecker that comes with MS Word, Excel or Powerpoint (or, if none of those are installed, MS Works) so as long as you have one or more of the above installed, you should be OK

The most common cause of OE spellcheck failure is a missing .dll file - sometimes caused by installing MS Office AFTER OE has been installed!!

Can you check to see whether or not you have the following file: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof\csapi3t1.dll" and let us know the result.

And please let us know which version of Windows, and of Outlook Express you are running.

limited knowledge but here goes cant find the file, office was installed so perhaps thats why, we run exp and outlook6?
