in Credit cards
Hi all,
As others predicted Halifax wouldn't extend my 0% on purchases (although they did keep trying to get me a balance transfer, but I don't have a balance anywhere!) so I have closed that account today.
I want to apply for a M&S 0% on purchases card (10months) but I need to know if I should leave if until the Halifax shows as settled on credit report(a month or so right?)
I do have a LOT of available credit (4 other cards, prob about £20k, not including the £6K limit on the halifax one) and I forgot to pay nationwide this month(by 1 day, and they have waived the late fee and interest-will it show on my credit record? oops bad timing or what?!) I pay all balances in full every month(except the Halifax which I made the last payment on this month), I have a mortgage, phone contracts etc
I want the card for purchases as we need to do the bathroom and was going to pay for suite/tiles etc with card, we also may need a new boiler
but these can probably wait until next month if I should wait a month or so before applying?
What do you reckon?
Thanks
