Difficult call to make; much of the huge rise in Gold has already happened; and I'm not so sure about a Dollar collapse in the short-term - but structurally and fundamentally, yes, the ballooning deficit is going to have a major impact on Bonds.

Nothing to get excited about. It's just one person on their blog predicting a dollar collapse 2-5 years ahead. In the short term today the dollar was the strongest it has been against the Euro for the last 3 weeks.

He said investors would, rightly, suspect that the US would have to generate major inflation to whittle away its debt and this dollar collapse means that the US has less leeway for major spending plans than politicians realise

He could just as easily be talking about the U.K. or any of the nations that make up the EUR

In the medium to long term significant weakness in USD, GBP and EUR is almost certainly on the cards as their debt levels explode.
