Hi
Its the built in DVD re-writer on a Dell Vostro Laptop and have used other DVD-R 8x discs that burned at the full 8x
Just wondering if the Tesco 8x discs are not supported by Nero 9?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Have you got any other burning software on your laptop? If not then try http://cdburnerxp.se/ and see if it lets you burn at 8x?0

Most likely you need to see if there's a firmware update for your DVDRW drive as it doesn't recognise the manufacturer ID of the DVDR discs so defaults to a safe speed setting.Conor
