got a morphy richards one when they were on offer on their website for £40 at the time wouldnt have thought about paying any more but having had this one for a year would definately by another again and even at a more expensive price. the more grams of steam the better and a constant steam would be good, ours you need to press the button all of the time which can be a pain
I got the same one at the same price from the MR website - its still in our local house of fraser store at £100 reduced from £200! I feel chuffed each time i walk past it :j
Clearance section of MR website is a good one to bookmark - my sis bought a hoover from them last month for £40, original price £1490 -
Sainsbury have them reduced to £75 at the moment but could not tell you which one. I went for the £25 normal iron.....0

Does anyone know the pressure bar on this as I was looking at this a few days ago as my rowenta steam gen is playing up , purchased from co-opelectricals.com and I was asked to choose another iron from their site.
But after researching it was showing as only having 1.5 bar pressure compared to my old rowenta at 4.5 bar pressure.
(I run an Ironing Business - so a higher pressure is vital)
I opted to have a refund and instead purchased the Tefal GV8330 (which is a 5bar pressure output) Pro Express Steam Generator from Costco @ £114.00
Priced at £155 at Co-opelectricalonline
£138 free deliv @ electricalshopping.com
Argos @ £219.00
Some catalogues £269.00 (but these catalogues prices are always too high anyway)
The Morphy Richards 42298 was showing on Electrical123.com a few days ago for a couple of £ cheaper than co-opelectricalonline, but not showing now.
If any of you have purchased the Morphy Richards 42298 Jetstream Elite Pro and know the actual ?bar pressure output, could you kindly let us know as I need another iron anyway for the business so that I always have an iron to hand should one die on me.0 -
I was in Homebase last night (Boucher Rd Belfast) and picked up a morphy richards steam generator iron for £34.98. I searched the website but it's not showing. I think it is discontinued stock. There were another 3 or 4 on the floor in the store. I'm not sure if it's nationwide but worth a look if passing.
I have a morphy richards steam generator iron and love it (as much as you can love an iron!!!). I picked this one up for my sister in law. It's 90g/min and 1 litre water capacity. It looks very similar to the one I have. (The model number is not on the box and I don't want to open it)0 -
I have to agree here I bought a Tefal Steam Generator for a whooping £119 and that was on offer  and it is the best iron I have ever used. For someone who hates ironing it makes it enjoyable (how sad am i!!!). It cuts ironing time in half.Little Miss Chatterbox

The only make that have a steam lock is the Philips Steam Generators I've got the GC8261 ( and yes it is a lot more expensive) which is brilliant and stops me getting a sore thumb constantly pressing the button down.
This is my 3rd steam generator and wouldn't be without it
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0
