Saga balance transfer

My friend has been trying to transfer his balance from Saga Liverpool Victoria card to Saga Allied Irish bank card who are offereing 0% for six months.

He started this procedure which should be quite simple but it appears they do not take transfers over the phone anymore and he had to fill in a form but this did not arrive nor did the second request for a form arrive. And he was subsequently told to use the form in the back of the booklet that was supplied with the new card.

After several phone calls they say they have no record of receiving it. They have admitted that he was given wrong information and have given him a credit of £20 as compensation but as far as the six month free period goes, they cannot extend it. Currently down to five months and still NO balance transfer.

Anyone else out there experienced similar problems?
