in Credit cards
Just wondering whether anyone could offer me some help re; credit cards !
I am a credit card virgin i.e. have never ever had one, however, i have recently purchased a new house and have bought a new kitchen for the house with a B & Q card - 6 mths int free credit. There is no way i am going to be able to pay off the full balance within 6 months and the APR after this period is 23.9%!!
I was wondering whether it would be in my interest to pay the balance off with a credit card when the payment is due in 6 mths, hopefully using a card which again offers a "interest free period" ???
Anu thoughts/ideas would be useful !

check whether the B & Q card is a 'store' card or a credit card... if it's a store card then you will probably not be able to balance transfer to a new CC.
also if you have never had a CC before its fairly unlikely you will get a 0% card as they generally go to people who have a proven track record of repaying their CC debts.. but no harm in trying.0 -
Unless you can balance transfer, it is very unlikely you'll be able to pay off the debt with ANY credit card. They dont like you paying off credit with credit. It will be debit card or cheque only Im afraid.0
