Discount tickets for rail travellers in TransPennine Express January sale
Saw this and thought you might be interested! Especially as the trains fares have gone up recently!
Train operator, First TransPennine Express is holding an on-line January sale with 25 per cent off the price of 750,000 advance purchase tickets across its network.
To claim the discount passengers need to book Advance tickets between Tuesday 6 January and Sunday 31 January at www.tpexpress.co.uk/sale and travel before 31 March 2009.
The discount tickets are available for travel in First Class and Standard on off-peak services, must be booked via the website and by 1800hrs on the day before travel.
Thomas Orr, Fares and Distributions Manager for First TransPennine Express, said: “This is a great opportunity for passengers to book in advance and take advantage of some fantastic offers. The discounted tickets are always very popular and are sold on a first come, first served basis so passengers are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.”
