A&L website bug?

Options
I'm trying to move money from my plussaver (4.05%) to the Online Savings Iss 2 account (5.15%). When I follow the "move money" options the only available account to pay into is "nominated account". I've never had this before. Is this some sort of site bug? I'm sure it listed all of my accounts before.

FIXED IT!
"nominated account" means current account. Then can move from there to wherever I like.

This is good! I'm making almost 10p per day extra interest by moving money from the A&L direct and Plus saver into this new Online Saver Issue 2.

One more problem now though. I can't seem to remove the last £3 from my Plus Saver account. It keeps saying I have insufficient funds.

There's probably a minimum balance of £1. I got the same message with the A&L Online Saver 1 account, had to close the account to get at the last £1, to which they added 2p interest ;)

I was wondering about that. I'll be closing it soon. I need to clear up the wake behind my financial tart antics.

Tom - I'm glad you can get your money into your current account. But did you know that this weekend you can't move money to a new payee from that current account - cos they've removed the 'add new payee' option.

When I phoned about it I was told it had been removed 'for security reasons'. When I asked why their customers had received no warning about this vital service being out all weekend I was given no explanation and no apology.

'This weekend only' was what I was told. I just checked and it's still not there so presume their weekend extends into Monday...

i have accounts with A&L and natwest.

natwest do this quite frequently, i suspect it is due to some sort of hacking process being indentified, so they stop/block the add a new payee, until the problem is resolved.

this is the first time i have heard of A&L doing it, but at the end of the day , they should be commended for being proactive in the fight against fraud.

sorry you had the problem and i am glad you have got it sorted now
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)
