When I was at the Hoxton we ate at The Real greek and liked it- the one near there is in a converted chapel with lots of interesting historical things in it and stained glass windows. Another option is to look at the reviews on www.toptable.co.uk which are really useful and also there are offers on there. Also there is a sale on 'top restaurants' with lastminute.com today tho at £25 for two courses and £30 for 3 courses it depends whether you want to make it really special and have the cash or if you are looking for a cheaper option.

Thanks for this, I've just applied, can anyone make any recomendations of where to use it, I've got a london weekend booked end of jan and will eat out 2 or 3 times, we will be going to a west end theatre and the royal albert hall, staying at the hoxton.

When I was last trialing the card I went to the Real Greek as well (there are about 6 or 7 on with tastelondon) and it was quality. 50% off as well. If you are going to the West End though Id put the postcode of your hotel in to their search page and it will give you a list

    Enjoy:T

I did this last time - when it was advertised in Time Out. It's very, very good. But you don't get their directory of restaurants unless you pay for membership, so you have to use the website for the trial. But its really worth it.

If you are looking for somewhere special try Bam Bou. Its near Tottenham Court Road and is sister restaurant to The Ivy. the drinks are really pricy, but with 50% off the food it is worth indulging

Thanks for the heads up OP

78mjt - We actually signed up for a year at £29.99, so I don't know if you'd be able to take the trial twice. But a different email might well do the trick.

As for recommendations - we've only used ours twice (already saved over £30, though!) and I would highly recommend Village East by London Bridge. They took our booking on the Thursday before Christmas, they were utterly rammed, but were incredibly pleasant and treated us very well (I always feel some places look down on you a bit when you use something like that). The only stipulation was that we had to be in and out in two hours - which suited us fine. Oh - the food is excellent, too.
  • I will be staying in Covent Garden area next week with my daughters who are both vegis. any ideas of good eating places using my Taste London trial card.

I've been using the card for 3 weeks now and it is great.

The rule is not hard and fast on numbers - some have upper limits and say you can only dine with, say 6 people, others say 4. But this is only the 50% restaurants. The 2 for 1 are only for 2 people.

I rang up yesterday to find out about joining full time and they said I will get a special offer e-mail. They also said that Pizza Express are joining and offering 50% off 7 days a week - no exclusions!!! Brilliant.

And thank you for all the the thank yous!!!
