What a great buggy idea!

I saw one of these for the first time today and WOW I thought what a fantastic idea. I actually stopped to speak with the mother to say so. (Unlike me!)

Thought some people here would be interested, not the price as I'm sure they could be found cheaper, but the concept.

I've often read threads about people asking what to do with toddler and new baby and Boogy boards have been mentioned (whatever they are?). This is no larger than an ordinary buggy and I was very impressed, no wide buggy's for twins etc.

Here it is:-

Mothercare will be selling them soon.

Also this is good & looks impressive in real life & I did not @ first realise that it was for two http://www.mothercare.com/invt/la0487&bklist=icat,4,shop,shopushchairs,pus2seaters

  • Maybe not so grat as you may think. I have known 2 familes with them and they had to get rid of them because the child in the lower seat kept getting soaked bu puddles and the pusher kept kicking the seat!
I have a bertini - which is fab.,.the toddler sits in a second seat that clips on to the top.

Only snag is that it is quite heavy - no good for public transport - no such thbing where we live so not an issue for us!
  • They are great, i have a friend who had one.

You just got to be careful if the top child comes out first and you have a newborn in the back as it can topple over!

I have a friend with one of these, but she found that the baby (who she puts in the back) tends to get quite hot and sweaty in it, but it is much more manageable than a traditional double buggy.

After five months of struggling with a baby plus a two year old who wanted to walk everywhere, I bought a Buggy Board on Sunday...bliss!!!!! (NB - Bailey - these are just boards that attach to the back of the buggy so your child can stand on it while you push). I just put it on the back of the pushchair and off we went...for miles. Can now get out of the house at and get to the park at a decent speed and no more carrying two year old while pushing the pram. Will saves heaps on chiropractic fees.

Just a note for anyone thinking of buying a Buggy Board second hand - when you fix it on to your pushchair you need to cut off a couple of plastic bits so it fits your buggy...if the person you are buying off has a buggy which is smaller than yours (in particular the vertical frame that the board attaches to) then it may not fit your buggy. I only picked this up when I read one very dilligent ebayer sellers add. It scared me off as I have about the largest framed pushchair available (seemed like a good idea at the time!) so got a new one from Tesco.

I can imagine that being quite easy to push with 2 in. If I had 2 of that age again I would certainly think about buying it. I had a tandem one for out shopping (easier to get in and out ofshop doorways) and a side by side for the rest of the time.
