biggish sum - euro to pound- where to change

hi there, not sure where to put this here or holidays section? but just in case. I have about 8,000 euros to change into pounds. how can i find who will have the best deals for me? is there any sites which does the search?

you don't say whether you have the €8K in cash or in a bank account or in form or a cheque or?, nor where (Euroland? UK?) the funds are currently kept - the best rate (after any charges) will depend on one or more of these factors.

You can look up the daily best rates of the European Central Bank, and then shop around UK banks, currency exchanges and travel agents for someone to match them as closely as possible. The €/£ rate doesn't fluctuate too much, so you don't need to 'strike' too fast.

If you can provide a few more facts on where you hold the Euro funds, I, or somebody else, might be able to suggest something more tangible.
