Barclaycard Debt

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't sure whether this should be in the credit card or debt forum.

2 years ago I paid off a Barclaycard debt via a company called Moorcroft. The balance was around £830 when I was offered a full and final settlement of £700.

Last month, I applied to open a Barclays bank account. I already have a joint account and a savings account with Barclays, but wanted a new current account for my own personal use. I was discussing my credit situation, in branch, with the personal banker, who suggested I also apply for a Credit Builder Barclaycard. I promptly received a rejection letter from Barclaycard but received my new current account from Barclays.

On the 28th of December, whilst away, I received a letter from Barclaycard stating that I owed them £130 and that it would be taken from my account. On the 29th of December this was taken from my joint account, then promptly repaid, only for it then to be taken from my savings account.

I spoke to Barclaycard, after confirming with Moorcroft that the debt was settled. Barclaycard wanted me to confirm the sort code of the account the money was taken out of, only, the sort code they had on record is not any of my accounts, and they don't have any record of any transactions on the savings or joint account. Apparently they are going to get back to me.

Hopefully I'll get the money back, but Barclaycard point blank refused to do anything about my credit report. The debt was considered satisfied on my credit report 2 years ago, it is now shown as satisfied from last month. I understand this takes 6 years to come off your record, I don't want to lose 2 years just because Barclaycard messed up. Any help would be much appreciated. Sorry for rambling on!
