I have a white gloss & stainless steel kitchen from magnet and its really not good quality in fact its really bad i want a new kitchen but i cant justify it .
White gloss door under sink got wet a few times and the white gloss finish has split and its a right mess i really need replacement door.
I just would not recommend magnet!0 -

This information is totally false. John Lewis own brand kitchens are Made by Mereway.
Arena/Alaris do sell Mereway Kitchens, but there is no way that they could purchase Mereway kitchens for less than John Lewis do! After al, John Lewis is Mereway's biggest customer.
By any chance was it that the salesperson from Alaris that told you they do John Lewis kitchens for half the price?

Just been and looked at John Lewis kitchens. I was under the impression from what has been posted on this forum that it is certainly possible to get the same kitchens sold in John Lewis for quite a lot cheaper if you go through another Mereway supplier. You seem to be saying something different so I am a little confused.
Even if John Lewis are buying Mereway kitchens cheaper than anyone else it doesn't mean that they won't be putting a huge margin on due to the John Lewis brand.0 -

Mereway have franchised companies as part of the Wentworth brand, where you can buy their kitchens for less than the prices at John Lewis.
Perhaps CKdesigner meant non-Mereway-related independents?0 -
JL also sell Alno kitchens as well.0

I had a Magnet kitchen installed 3 years ago.. their latest attempt to get it right was last week... The quality of the goods are excellent but the fitting was awful. Its still not right now (cupboard door opens when I open the dishwasher at the moment ...)
Personal opinion but not worth the money and poor quality workmanship. Next time I will go with a local chippy..

John Lewis sell 3 ranges and the one being discussed here is almost certainly NOT Mereway or Alno. There is NO way a mereway or Alno kitchen will cost as little as £2300. I know where JL source their 2rd range from and quite frankly, its dissapointing to see that a company like JL would sell such a poor quality kitchen. Its equally true that JL would do a better job on customer service that any other multiple. We’ve had to remove your signature.
