Capital One Easy Access Saving Account

Hi,

Capital One offer easy access saving account with interest paid MONTHLY at 5.13% p.a.

Any one has experience dealing with them? Is it easy to withdraw the money from them?

They send cheque, will we be charged for that ?
Are they reliable?

Thanks

Capital 1 are a large American Bank who are primarily involved in the credit card market.

Check out their terms and conditions and ensure they are regulated and you are covered by the £35k deposit security guarantee scheme so your money is safe.

I guess they use cheques because they don't have a branch network etc in the UK. If you are going to be making regular deposits and withdrawls, this may cost you lost interest as cheques are cleared but if you aren't going to be moving money around sounds like a good rate.

    Hope that helps.

Just to point out that another way of 'bumping' a thread which has not been responded to [apart from posting a 'reply' to yourself] is to 'copy' your first message - paste it into a 'start new topic' box, submit and then 'remove' the original message. That way you make it look like a 'new' topic  ;D

True about bumping, trouble is all this posting costs a fortune in stamps - or is it really free post?
My website has lots of info and photos from various Greek and Canary Islands esp. about walking. My profile has the site address cos not allowed to put it here.
